A few snaps from Sunday’s dog show as part of the new Rodley cricket clubhouse celebrations.
A very promising start to the day as we set up with the sun shining, dogs running around and the barbecue starting to sizzle. This was the second year of the Scruffs show run by Elaine and her Dog House team (which I must say all looked very smart in their new t-shirts) and proved very popular again. Competitors started early and arrived thick and fast to amount to 317 entries across the 10 categories! A stunning range of breeds in all shapes, sizes and colour.
Unfortunately, in true British style, the rains did come just as the competitions began to get underway, but they did nothing to dampen spirits, so brollies came out and tails wagged on. Of course the pooches loved it and were all very well behaved, lining up to take their turn at catching sausages and wagging their tails.
So a big thank you and well done to all those that stayed out in the rain and helped out to make the show another success. I certainly enjoyed it!
